The World’s Best To Compete at 2004 Canada Cup in Victoria
The world best divers will gather at Saanich Commonwealth Place in Victoria April 29 – May 2 to compete at the 2004 Canada Cup Fina Diving Grand Prix. The 6th stop on the 2004 Grand Prix Circuit, Canada Cup will feature divers from Australia, Brazil, China, Canada, Cuba, Great Britain, Malaysia, Mexico, South Africa and the United States including World Champions Alexandre Despatie and Emilie Heymans from Canada, Men’s 10 metre Olympic Champion Tian Liang from China and BC’s own World Bronze medallist Blythe Hartley.
Tickets and event passes are available at the door (1-day pass: $5, 4-day pass: $16, children 12 & under: Free).

IT’S OFFICIAL! Jenna Qualifies Olympic Berth
Boardworks’ own Jenna Dreyer achieved her highest ever international result at the 2004 FINA Diving World Cup last month in Athens. Jenna, who dives internationally for her home country of South Africa but trains with Boardworks, finished 14th in the Women’s 3 metre event and 19th in the Women’s 10 metre event. FINA HAS NOW VERIFIED that these results secure two spots for South Africa at the upcoming Olympic Games in Athens this summer. Congratulations Jenna!
